Dear Mr. Kenilworth,
I am really overwhelmed to receive the letter from your company offering me the post of Graphic Designer for which I had applied and had also, attended an interview. It is really a matter of great honor to be given an opportunity by your company to join the company and render my services to the company. This was a life time opportunity for me but I am really sorry to say that I cannot join your company as desired by you.

After the interview I waited for a long period of time for a response from your side but I failed to get it. In the meantime I forwarded my application to various other places from where I was invited for interview and demonstration. Out of these I got the offer from a local company and accepted the job as you know very well that a man cannot sit without employment for long at home as he not only becomes a burden for the family but also for the government who bear the unemployment allowance.

I am feeling very sorry that I cannot join your company and render my services and fulfill the promises that I had made in my letter and during the interview. I have also considered both the offers and found that financially I will be a gainer if I continue my job with the local company as I can stay at my own place and not face the hassles of shifting from one place to another.

I will surely keep in mind your offer and will contact you if I decide to change my job or to shift from my hometown and go in for another job. Again thank you very much for the offer. I am extremely sorry that I cannot accept such an offer but you can understand that it is not due to any fault of mine but due to the circumstances which makes me feel that we think and desire for many things but everything is in the hands of god and we are just like puppets in his hands.

In the end I would like to again thank you and express my sincere and heart felt regrets for not being able to join such a reputed firm like yours for which I can only blame my destiny and nobody else as I feel that getting complete job satisfaction is not in my fate and I have to strive further for it and keep on praying to god that he should smile upon me and bless me so that I can achieve the best in my life.

I have a small request and that is, in the future if you have any vacancy in the same category please consider me for the same and if any kind of assistance is required kindly do not hesitate to call me at any time or at any juncture.

Sincerely,
Yours faithfully
John Michael Haddock
