This is an application with reference to your advertisement published in the employment supplement of The Sun News paper stating one vacancy for the post of Chief Textile Designer in your company Toppers Designer Garments. I consider my qualification and experience are satisfactorily suitable with your requirement. Hence I am applying for the post mentioned above.
I am a first class Graduate in Textile designing from National Institute of Fashion Technology, Dallas. After completing graduation in the year 2000, I did a Post Graduation Diploma in Advanced Fashion Designing with specialization in garments production from the Horizon School for Fashion Designers in New Jersey. I have successfully completed two courses in Animation technologies and Auto Cad from Cutting-Edge Animation Academy (CEAA) and State Technical School (STS) respectively.
I have an extensive work experience in the relevant field for 5 years. I started my career as a junior designer in MD Garments which is a reputed company in the field of garments manufacturing. My job responsibilities included designing fabrics using the knowledge in Animation and Basic computer knowledge as well as attending meeting with overseas clients to get a detailed idea about their requirements. Also have experience of working as a member of a Group designing team of 15 designers to accomplish projects on textile manufacturing, fabric quality testing and mass production of designer garments etc. Presently I am working as the Chief Designer in Paramount Designers Guild. It is a Designer’s organization dealing in textile designing, ornament designing and dress designing. Here my responsibilities are to look after the Textile design department of the organization and solve queries of the junior designers while production of bulk orders. My responsibilities are also included with meeting the local as well as overseas clients in order to get prestigious projects for the company. Often accept individual designing projects from reputed clients as a freelance adviser.
My strong characteristic features are systematic approach to find solutions, positive attitude in work, inclination for teamwork and ability to motivate people in order to bring out their best. I am a fluent speaker, reader and writer in English, French and German. My hobbies include writing on various topics, painting landscapes, fishing and listening to soft music.
Now to talk about my aim, it is taking the responsibility of a post in a reputed Textile design Company deals in mass production and individual designing assignments. I am also interested in the challenging position of a coordinator working as a mediator between the corporate clients and the management. I am ready to provide freelance advice and assistance to the multi specialty designing companies.
Although I am happy working in my present organization, I am looking for new and better opportunities in the relevant field.
